Good time, Friends!
We have a new figure, the circulation is ready!
We continue the theme of the Roman army of the late empire.
Figure released in continuation of archer MM-7589 Roman archer 4 ad
If you wish, you can make a fight scene with picts, MM 7578 is perfect for this purpose.
Sculptor of all three figures Ruslan Vorobyov

I love the Mercury 75mm range and have lots of them but how much longer is Oleg going to use the same 'splayed legs apart and a twist of the body' pose with simple variations to the clothing and uniform on nearly all of his figures? There is no mention who sculpted these but just looking at the poses of the 2 Romans, I am 99% confident to say it is Oleg as it has almost become a 'signature' now?...Is it him?

As a sculptor, Oleg is a great talent but he really needs to start doing some different poses for his figures as they are mainly 'variations on a theme'. I am not being negative but neither am I engaging in (insincere) platitudes either.

Hi Gary. Ruslan Vorobyov sculpted this sculpture, please apologize, I did not immediately indicate the sculptor:)Yes, I agree with you, but the fact is that now there are a lot of figures, the authors have to think and remember very much so that there are no repetitions, but really real ones, especially action poses very little and they are actually already used sooner or later. This officer was conceived in the continuation of the series of Romans of the late empire, he can be used as a separate figure and together with the figures of the Picts (I write in the plural, because the series will develop) specifically, so that lovers of this topic would have the opportunity to make a diorama or a small battle scene.

In which case I withdraw unreservedly the comment in naming Oleg as the sculptor but is there a generic master figure which keeps getting used or converted within your company? Just look through the catalogue and the same pose / stance is used over and over again. Your company along with Medieval Forge and Altores are amongst the leaders within the hobby at the moment (in my opinion) and I am sure the skilled people you employ for Mercury can be much more creative and original than this.

As I said, I love your 75mm figures - I have 3 built and 16 in the grey army - but can you vary the poses a little (the details and casting are superb) to keep them varied and of interest to those of us who want to keep buying them please? I also know from speaking to some people in my hobby social circle that they share these observations and opinions but won't necessarily express them here.

Sorry, but if no-one ever says anything other than "great figure" or "must buy" ..and then don't buy it, then you can't get true and well-intentioned customer feedback.

Thank you for the positive and friendly reply.

A gorgeous figure by Ruslan.Late Roman Empire is a very colourful subject that deserves more attention. There are literally no figures out there from the 5th or 6th century AD (around the time when Justinian the Great was ruling the empire).D'Amato and Negin have produced a wonderful series of Roman cataphracts for Osprey where many reconstructions can be found of Heavy Roman Cavalry ,covering a timespan never so far represented in our hobby.....

Oda.

Your feedback helps us get even better and gives us an incentive to move on. We will try our best not to upset you and make our miniature more interesting, more beautiful and better. Thanks for your feedback and comments:)

Lovely figure and it's nice to see some later Empire figures starting to appear now in greater numbers.

I echo Gary's comments re. the pose repetition because that stance does seem to have become a bit of a "theme" now, and a variety would be welcome. But on balance this is one that I will probably still pick up on the basis of the subject and the Mercury quality.
