Great figure. Superb anaotomy BUT there is one error.

The manica (arm guard) has the laminations running the wrong way. A sword running up the arm will catch the lames and go straight through. If you want more proof look at the way laminations run on medieval armour.

I've attached a picture of a find from Carnuntum.

This is a mistake modellers, some re-enactors, Hollywood and illustrators always make.

I think I've made about thirty of these full sized by the way.

I'm sorry for being critical on an otherwise beautiful figure.

Martin, possibly it is a secutor, but most likely it murmilon (a characteristic crest on a helmet)
Red Five, thanks for your opinion. perhaps you are right there are images where the arrangement of plates differs from your option

 
If you want any pointers for any future ancient world projects let me know, I've either made it full size (that's me in my avatar), seen or measured it.

One good tip is to look at actual finds rather than art or literature.
