It's been a while since I've posted here. For some reason I couldn't get logged on. Today must be my lucky day! )))
As many of you know I took a part time job with a government contractor about 2 years ago. It's a great job and pays well. However the job has been keeping me on the road for weeks at a time. So far I've been able to keep up with orders and get things out in a reasonable time. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on how you look at it, the job has grown and will now be keeping me on the road for sometimes months at a time. As a result I've had to make some hard decisions. I would of course like to keep things going status quo but I don't think I can. So for right now I will have to scale back quite a bit. The first step is that I will have to close for a few months this spring and early summer. I will not be able to guarantee that I can fill orders from April 1 thru June 30. If we have it in stock my daughter can mail it. If it has to be cast there will be a delay. I'm not sure what will happen after July 1. The fall and winter are normally slow times for the government work but who knows.
I would also like to announce that I am considering selling the business. Not because business is bad or anything like that. I've made a profit every month since day one when we started back in 1987. I would like to pursue the government work more and at the same time go back to making miniatures my hobby again. This would be a perfect oppurtunity for someone that would like a part or full time business (it moves as fast or as slow as you want it to.) or maybe someone that's retired and looking for some additional income. If anyone is interested please contact me via e-mail or phone at [email protected] or 540-343-2241. Serious inquiries only please.
Any question feel free to get in touch with me.
Thanks,
Mike
