The "Americans" were the first large scale metal figures I cut my teeth on as kid. The American Revolution figures were my favorites, although I feel the 5th NY Zouave was the best of the bunch. They seem to sell really well on ebay, though I have a feeling they are being bought by a much more mature (read: older) crowd.~Gary

WOW!!! This is the best news I've heard in years!
It's really kinda wierd too. I just came across three of my Series 77 pieces.
I was thinking about redoing the Mohawk. It was done in the early 80's.
I loved these kits and I am so glad to hear we will have another chance to
buy them. Call me Granddaddy and bring 'em on.

Yes, Gary, I remember those days well, the call would go out from the Penn
Station Hobby shop that the Series 77's were in and the mad rush would being.
There we would all be, waiting for the box to be opened, the kit examined layer
by layer of that packing stuff they use to use, and there struggling for a view
amdist us "mature" guys was a little waif of a street urchin, Gary dombrowski
struggling for a look at the figure.LOL!
Series 77's were what got me started all those years ago and I still like to paint
them now and then. They remind me of the good times in Erie and Friday night
Miami Vice/figure panting night.

Welcome back Series 77, we missed u!!!!!!!!!!!

It's great to see their revival!
I had some of those Americans series as well when I was younger, I still have a catalogue, must be from the early 80's, anyone remember this from the back cover.
