24-pound (150 mm) gun with 21 caliber barrel, usually palced on a battery deck of the ship.The smooth bore cast iron barrel was placed on wooden truck machine. The gun crew included 5 people. It was loaded mannualy from the muzzle end. The angle of elevation reached 10 degrees. Average weight of the gun was about 2,6 tons, at a full load it was capable of reaching frining range of 2.4 km.

These guns were widely employed in defense of Sevastopol, they were transferred from battle ships flooded in the Sevastopol bay during the Crimean (East) war, 1853-56.
