I dunno Gary, it could be kind of cool if they were stage a re-enactment everyday, ala the pirate ship battle at the Treasure Island in Vegas, of the cavalry fight that took place upon the site of the proposed casino. Maybe a daily cannonade demonstration, or a nightly Pickett's Charge dinner show. Or the famous hardtack, salt-pork and desecrated vegetables buffet--okay, now I'm just messing with you! ;)

Keep fightin the good fight, Bro

I have never been to this place but would love to gothere. My feeling is, that the desicration of such historical sites for the sake of the gambling community, is an infringement of the civil liberties of the rest of the country. Yes the capitol intake would increase, but at what cost to build and where would the money go, would some of the takings be given for the upkeep of such historical sites just a mile or so away... I don’t think so...

it’s a very sad situation... :(

just my two pennies worth

I travlled to Carlisle and Harrisburg for business pretty frequently about 10 years ago. The southern and central parts of Penn are gorgeous. It seems a shame to put a casino in any part of that area at all.
