Super review. However, I recently bought this kit and have to say I still think the chainmail coif is something of a disappointment. First, which doesn't show up well on the pictures, the holes in the chainmail are of inconsistent depth and many are so deep they need filling somehow to create a realistic look. The chainmail coif itself is also unlike any I have seen in my references, these are normally closely fitting and internally padded, so shouldn't really hang loose and in folds the way depicted. The ventail (the piece hanging loose down across the chin which draws up to protect the mouth area), should be integral to the coif whereas the figure is depicted with the coif split all the way down the front. Likewise there should be some means of tying the ventail up to the side of the head so you will need to add a leather thong to both the ventail and to the side of the figure's head (most sources I have also mention the ventail tying up on the left side rather than the right but that is minor). Really really minor point is that the stitching on the leather edging is also inconsistent between outside and inside, both show stitches with virtually no gap between stitches when one should be the reverse of the other if they are meant to depict opposite sides of the same garment. I really love the rest of this bust, the padded gambeson is simply stunning but I'm probably going to resculpt the coif myself as there is just too much I don't like about it. If you want to see what I mean then you can google coif and ventail in images and you will get plenty of references.
