Hello everyone! Welcome the last release in this year.
Vampire Lady.
95 mm tall, resin casting. Acrylic and oil colors, decals.

Some NSFW pictures, please

Wow how does she stand upright with those balloons

And how did they get the coffin lid down? Nice smooth sculpting. I take it she's inspired by the video game character and is not meant to be a faithful model of her (she looks younger and much more generously "upholstered").

Tackiness reaches a new low.

A tricky one. Taste is very personal, and one thing I like so very much about this hobby, is that we generally appreciate and appraise the skills (sculpting and painting), rather than the subject. Whilst I don't shy away from female subjects, this level is not to my taste. But likewise, I find the obsession with WWII SS figures , and the jubilation when yet another figure of a mass murdering war criminal is released , bordering on the offensive (oh no, I'm "offended". And I'm over 50....). But its each to their own.

Yeah, and personally I think it's really unfair the way folk bang on about all the people that Fred West murdered, but never mention his skills as a builder. :D

Brother Vinni's has form for releasing this kind of stuff**, and while I can doff my optivisor to anyone who can sculpt to a level that's viable for commercial release, let's not pretend that it's anything other than what it really is. I'm sure they must sell (to someone), but as you say, each to their own, and a few of these in your cabinet would soon have it looking like a grot mag in 3D.

** As do others, to be fair.

That's what you call a bust.

Nice sculpting, not my thing but can appreciate the sculpting. I think it’s a bit top heavy you might say, but it’s a fantasy piece so anything goes. It’s a bit like marmite you either like it or you don’t.

Good luck with it
Happy new year

What bothers me is how someone outside our hobby looking in perceives this sort of thing and us. Many fantasy figures now portray young buxom women showing off what they’ve got and this offering just takes it to a different level of seediness. Not what our hobby is about in my opinion (though it might be good for practising skin tones). Now I’m by no means a prude but in my opinion it does show a lack of imagination and originality and perhaps to someone on the outside, show us as being a bit grubby .. a bit Benny Hill (to those that can remember him) . You know what I mean especially in this world of political correctness. On the other side of the coin Brother Vinni is capable of producing some very good fully clothed 28mm figures…

Ps.. what is the inscription on the grave stone ?

+1 Billy

Collectors of fantasy stuff and scale models won't be ever the same kind of people. No marketing blablabla can change that.
On the other side, it's not a crime to aim, at Benny Hill's moneybagg. Any blondie would do..

I raised this point on one of Vinni's previous releases. I asked, of those who might regularly buy this sort of figure, where and how they would display them. I was curious as to what happens when Auntie or Grannie came to visit?
No one replied.
As for originality - it is a rendition of a game character so would a Lara Croft or Han Solo figure be described as un-original - or are they just catering to an existing fandom?

The OP says don't open these images unless you are happy to see NSFW pictures which is fair enough for those that like this kind of thing. The problem is that the forum shows a thumbnail of these images against the thread title and on the main Forum page. So for those of us that don't want to see these things on what we hope is a family friendly forum, they cannot be avoided.

Maybe there is a way to suppress NSFW images at the thread title level and on the main Forum page?
