Regarding the ending year on the pictures, I think it is a typo. According to Wiki https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saladin, Saladin died in 1193 at age 55. Therefore, it would be 1193 instead of 1139 (just need to exchange the last two digits).

This leads to some interesting new insights into history. Given his redefined age at the time, when Richard the Lionheart smote the iron bar, Saladin let out an almighty WWAAAAAAAAaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!! and hid behind his nanny!
Not exactly the romantic image of legend. (Sorry).
