I find this bust absolutely brilliant, but with all that detail work on the scale armour ,I think it detracts from what, primarily, a bust is all about the face. It's all a bit too busy IMO,but would still buy it and have the scale chest armour painted in different tones of gold.

Is it just me,as I prefer to study the resin unpainted version,as you can see the possibilities that can be done on the bust.
I'm not overly keen on the red scale armour on the boxart version, although I admit I wouldn't have the patience for painting it like that.As I've said before, the painted version is a bit too busy for my taste, but the bust is a winner.
My bust of the year so far is the Paul von Hindenberg bust by Life Miniatures, which I got a few days ago.The sculpting is second to none, and the face close up has to be seen to be believed.
Will I buy the Saladin bust? Of course!

Derek, it's easy, when you go to a show buy it and give it to a mate to take home. Then he can give it to you at your next club meeting so that when it comes into the house, it's coming from an unexpected time and an unexpected quarter, therefore the wife has no reason to suspect anything and you get away with your new purchase ungrilled(y):sneaky:.
Best wishes, Sneaky.
PS All this is discussed on the thread "How do they Know"
Oh, so you won it at the club raffle! Cool!
