This has come along way since the first pic, looks superb, nice one.

Thanks Bob
I really appreciate your comments Mate, especially the good ones.
I have pushed this one along at pace to get as much competed as possible before Monday when We are off to finish the year ihe UK. So closing the house down means not too much more sculpting after tomorrow.
Cheers
Keith

Thanks Kevin.
The swinging nine sum = 6 tassels + 1 meat + 2 veg. It is what's behind the sporon that counts.
Most of what comes next is correcting the magazine width,, a bit tapered toward the bottom, and cleaning up before priming. The primer will show a few snags I'm sure,
Then smarten up the back with a suitable support for the figure. Progress will slow a little now as We are on a pilgrimage to the father land for two or more months.
Any changes My Friend and you will be the first to know.
Best wishes
Keith

Progress update
Added a token ammo pouch and beefed up the mag but still work to do on it when it has hardened.
I have given it a light priming coat to check for faults and blemishes that would need attention. Halfords grey primer is ideal for light score mark repair and exposing larger problems. A good number of things to work on, as always .
Cheers,
Keith

Hello old mate,
Really nice to see you producing such sterling work out of your comfort zone. In fact it's so good it deserves to be developed further in my opinion, adding the full right arm and shoulder and left shoulder and part arm. But saying that, it looks impressive just as it is.

One thing that does stick out to me is the magazine (previously mentioned) and forward grip. I think both could be improved. I think the magazine looks thin because of the angle of the receiver, the magazine is more curved like an AK due to this angle. The forward grip also looks too small in relation to the hand. I'm certainly no weapons expert and what you have done is a credit to you. I have marked up your rifle after looking at the exploded picture of the rifle.

I look forward to seeing this one painted, I think you have captured a really good likeness Keith.(y)
cheers

Hi Keith,
I have put both pictures together, as you can see the angle of the magazine receiver comes off the trigger guard. I hope this makes my explanation clearer.
cheers

Hi Richie,
Thanks for the good observations Mate.
The rifle has had some of the improvements that you highlight but that has been put on the back burner until I get home in January.
Sorry Mate but the addition of any limbs is not gonna happen..........but you never know.
I hope that all is good with You, Christine and the new figure business?
All the very best wishes,
Keith
