Hi Guys

Here is a couple of pics of this little beauty that I have been working on, just a couple of little features added to the ground work, that places him in a 17th century Drinking house, still loads to do but just seeing if anybody likes the idea........

Comments are always appreciated....

I think a glass of claret on the table is in order.
Re: the table, through tennon and tusk for the stretcher or trestle rail maybe? In my aesthetic, a tavern table would be a little more rustic and more likely to use through motice and tennon joinery than one in a manor house.

The chair is a nice detail.

Looks good Dave.

Looks terrific, but I agree with Mike, the table should be more rustic, as inspiration watch the Three Musketeers movies from the '70s, they got the feel of the 17th C spot on.

Hi Guys

Thanks for the comments, they are very much appreciated, I will take on board the bit about the table, although I will say I did do a bit of research and found that this is a table leg design that had been used at lower ends of the market. The through tennon and tusk for the stretcher as you rightly said has to be put back on as I had to shorten the hight of the table by a couple mm, so took it off to do this it shall return.

As for the musketeer films I am awaiting a copy of one of these at the moment, thanks again for the comments and the heads up on the furniture, things will be changed.......cheers

Dave

Nice setting. I wi ll attennd to see how this will go .

I have the figure ready and primed , i just had some urgent job stuff that kept me away, other wise i would have laid some paint on this .

But is definately the next to be touched in paint .

I will use the original scenery in a slightly different setting maybe with some additions.

Let's see what happens !!!!

Good luck
