My latest work, based on the famous photograph of St. Paul’s . A 1/35 Stalingrad body with all the other parts from the bits box. His base is scratched from plasticard.

Very interesting subject! Early WW2 Observer Corps helmets seem to have been black with "OC" stencilled on the front (although the guy in the photo appears to be wearing one of the later tan coloured helmets).

I’ve a coloured image l found online. According to the literature the first helmets were police issue black and later produced in blue when uniforms were issued in 1941.
