Excellent painting of an excellent kit. I really like Troop 54 figures and haven't seen this one painted up before. May have to order one up.
Excellent paintwork, John. Troop 54 figures are excellent castings, & become real show-stoppers when painted as skilfully as you’ve done with this one.
Marvelous sculpt, marvelous brushwork!

Nothing wrong with that John.
Damn that's good!
I really like the dark blue you've achieved on the trousers. Was that Vallejo or jo Sonja? And, if you don't mind, what was the mix?

Hi John
Still in awe at just how you paint and this shows it so well ....
A question ..do you decant JS into dropper bottles as I find the tubes awkward to get just what I need out rather than a blob!!
Appreciate you approach
Happy benchtime
Stay safe

Fantastic Paint John. It's a really beautiful job. I love the skin impression of life. Beautiful and clean shading, excellent subtle contrasts, just as alive. True art!
Cheers Borek
Lovely piece of work; is this a conversion from the Light Infantry Officer, cant find in current 'Shop"?
Thank you Jason I used Jo Sonja acrylic Prussian Blue with burnt umber mixed together, to it and added black for the shades and white to the base color for the highlights
Hi Kevin, Thank you mate, yes have put all my tubes in plastic bottles for convenience sake and storage and of course more control on the amount of paint you need.
Tremendous and inspiring work John well done.
