Thank you very much for the kind feedback, my friends.:)
It keeps me motivating.

Pete: I used cadmium red as base color from winsor, rose dore alizarine from Rowney artists color, to darken the red more to the bodem of the figure the first time, Prussian green for the first shadows, and a little black for the darker ones, highlighted with cadmium scarlet what is a little orange and hightlight more with a little touch of white. All is done whet on whet. For the groundwork I used the little base in the kit and worked it out with magic sculpt, painted it and put on some tuffs of grass and little flowers that can be bought in the better model store, and used some of my oils on the grass, with a larger brush. That's it.

Cheers,
Eddy

Wonderful work Eddy on what was one of my 2 favourite figures from last yea.
I've had him cleaned, pinned and ready to be primed for months......You've encouraged me to pull my finger out and get on with it.
Cheers
Derek

Nice clean painting. The reds are excellent as are the socks. Very nice groundwork finishes it off beautifully. A joy to look at.

Been gone for awhile, and late seeing this , but wonderful work as always. The intensity you get with oils on the skin tones amazing.
