I liked this bust as soon as I saw it, so had to have it.
the face is in oil and the rest in acrylic, except the gloves and cross belt.
I have painted the sword blade, firstly in acrylic silver , then painted in lamp black oil, taking off as much of the oil paint as possible.

Wow, thanks for you comments, it will be some time yet, still lots to do. It is a cracking kit no doubt about it and its not red. :happy:

mmm some Intricate patterns for sure Mate.

Could you experiment on a bit of scrap with blue/black base and tiniest touch of ochre for highlights for future models?

It should stay black overall without looking like weathered 'hospitaller' on the crusades?

I will try that with this figure not only on the lace but if it looks good will try it on the Shako
