All oils and NMM acrylics for the golds. Great old bust and good learning experience for the NMM.

Hi RFL ,

Like you say a great old piece to do the NMM ...do share your mixes as it looks really effective , also like the fur effects on the clothing.

Thanks guys , it a Verlinden bust. The acrylic nmm is a variation of Lou Masses gold NMM, with the shadows thin tints of red/brown oils in white sprites i.e, burnt umber/ sienna / a little green. uses to leach out into the mat acrylics.

Some PM`s asking about the NMM so I hope it`s OK to link to my friend Lou`s page. He was, many years back, one of the first US guys to do cloth and braid NMM on larger scale figures. I find it a bit of a challenge on busts, but using my oil stains for the shadows eliminates paint build up and gives IMO better transitions.
