Hope this is sorted quickly and with minimal mess and inconvieience

Look forward to seeing the return to the bench

As you say this is not a competition ...it's all about enjoying the benchtime

Couldn’t agree more.

Coming towards the end now. I’ve made a start on the striping on the turban to get an idea of positioning. The paint was a little thin so once it’s dry I’ll go back at it with a thicker mix than sort any shades/highs. I’ve just added a couple of extra lines, one each side of the shoulder seam and painted on a small circle pattern-a lot of the pictures of these Afghan/Indian fur lined jackets show a lot of detail patterns on the cuffs and fronts. I’ve gone for silver pickers/chains to contrast with the yellow/gold striping on the turban. Need to do a bit more on this part of the bust but happy overall with how it’s progressing.

Thanks Nap. I decided to add a dark blue line edging the gold stripes just to lift it a little and also tried to add a bit of dust/grime effect to the turban to tie it in with the rest of him. I was contemplating adding some different coloured stripes at one point but happy with this. It’s interesting to see the variations on painting the turban colour wise- Mike (misfit151) went for a plain black version and Geoff is going for a coloured version it looks like. The figure just lends itself to it and there’s an opportunity to depict variations on any number of units I suppose.
