Hello everyone.

I just finished the Scale Collectables bust representing Shae Brennan at 1/10 scale played by Sam Elliot. I don't know the series which was not broadcast in France.

As you will see in the following pictures, I tried to achieve something different by modifying the original bust a little. I reduced the folds at the neck which seemed a little exaggerated, modified the jacket and especially redid the hat.

Nice subtle conversion, can't beat making something uniquely your own. Great paint job too, I've seen a few versions of this and still don't know the character or actor for that matter!

He played John Buford in 1993's "Gettysburg", it's a great film even if you're not specifically an ACW buff.

Mice modifications to make this unique and an excellent paint job, I really like the way you handled the skin tones. The finish on the hat is really good as well, it looks really weatherbeaten.

Thank you for appreciating Simon, you understood well that I really like to personify my busts, whether it be in painting or especially sculpture, even if I don't really master this area.

Thanks Nigel. The difficulty was to put some lights on the face despite the hat which leaves the face in shadow. So I accentuated the shadow on the forehead slightly and lightened the cheekbones and nose a little.
The hat was difficult to modify. The print is thin, the resin not very thick. I dipped the edges in very hot water and folded the edges of the hat to raise them. Then I enlarged them a little. To modify the shape of the hat which seemed too round to me, I added Aves two-component paste. I also had to sand the hair over a certain length so that the inner diameter of the hat would sink a little lower and obliquely on the head. This work took me almost 10 days whereas a more experienced sculptor would have done it in 1 to 2 days.
