I have just purchased a bust entitled “Old Cowboy” from a manufacturer on eBay called Scale Collectables, who produces a range of 3d printed bust, mainly science fiction but also a couple of western characters. The one I bought is based on the character Shea Brennan from the tv series 1883 played by Sam Elliott. The likeness is uncanny and the whole thins reeks quality……..from the bust itself, through to the packaging, info sheets and seller communication.
The bust comes on at about 1/5th scale but the producer tells me he can print them in any scale…..just email for a quote.
He also produces a good looking bust of the Man in Black from Wetsworld.
Just to confirm that I have no connection with this producer other than being a highly satisfied customer.
I only hope my painting does it justice…..(perhaps I’ll just bronze it!).

Thanks for the very kind words.
The original sculpture is by Sid Naique and his work is amazing. I will be adding more of his busts to the range shortly

Certainly a very good sculptor , nice to see this piece ,quality looks really good and I like the insert wording as well

Look forward to seeing more so please do share ......are there going to be any military subjects ?

I have one of these that Tommi printed for me. Haven't got round to painting it yet but we both agreed that the quality of the sculpt is brilliant.

I am currently working on a web site which should be up and running by the end of next week

This will be

www.scale-collectables.com

In the meantime I have a Facebook page at

Scale Collectables | Facebook

and can be contacted via email at [email protected]

Another Western themed bust from Sid is The Man in Black played by Ed Harris in Westworld

And I will also be adding a Maverick bust soon from Sid. There is also a Samurai and Viking Raider bust in a military theme but I will be adding more and currently in the process of working with a sculptor on a French Napoleonic Dragoon

Face is too thin all the way down to the jaw bone, No facial hair.....If you can sculpt a bit, it might make it a descent bust. I don't think Sam Elliott would be too proud. Not bad for what it is..............Keep up the good work .

This is a very close likeness. IMHO, with the just the right care, this will be a ringer! I'm in, standing by, Ruck On!

Thanks Wayne. I was quite shocked on how Sam Elliott looked playing the character the bust is based on in 1883. I think Sid captured him just right
