Thanks Marcel. I would check with your supplier before you buy to see if you can return it if you get a bad casting. This is what I did and had to return the first one and got this one.

Here is the final finished version with the brown plaque with gold lettering on the front of the base.

Well, pics don't do this one justice. I got to see this one last night "in the flesh" and it turned out really nicely Guy! The base is an excellent compliment. Keep on paintin'!

Thanks guys. It does look better in the flesh. I am afraid I had too much light in the photograph and it washed out some of the details.

Excellent work Guy,
But for the first time i have to neatpicking.
I see that you paint a brass end on the belt, and a metal buckle. ( i hope i have the words right).
In my opinion it is not usual to do such things. It is brass or metal.....

But above all, i really like what you have done.
