Richard Baxter
A Fixture
I have been having a critical look at my grey army, starting with figures acquired longer ago than I care to remember and which reslistically will never be assembled and painted by myself.
The first one under the microscope is a figure of a US Army dragoon sergeant, from 1846-48. Scale is 90mm, white metal. Made by Signature Miniatures of El Monte, California: not sure if they still exist, perhaps one of our American friends will advise. Figure dates from around 1980. Sculptor was Terry Worster.
As you can see, it's been prepped, undercoated (with thinned car body primer) and mounted on a base ready for painting.
It's a pretty good figure in my view, as well as being long out of production (am guessing) and therefore rare. Sarge deserves better treatment than being quietly forgotten by yours truly. If anyone is interested in acquiring this gem, please send me a PM and we'll see if we can agree something. Am looking for a price of around £40 plus postage and packing.
