Joe, thanks for looking, the scale is approx 140mm and at the moment it's in my grey army, not sure about how to go commercial.

This is the figure that I took castings of and was able to produce
"French grenadier or poilu".

Cheers Ken

Excellent Ken, really good stuff!

I hope that the fusil is covering his left eye as per regulations for present arms!

Cheers,
Jon.

Dan - Jonathan - Patrick,

Many thanks for your comments, Jonathan what's a fusil,
I looked it up on google images, it's french and it's part of a rifle or sword , or both. ???
I'm guessing as per regs, unless I was really lucky, I got it wrong.:(:( :)

Cheers Ken

I believe that a fusil was originally a smaller lighter weight musket, designed for troops who couldn't handle the weight of the full on musket. These troops were called fusiliers. I read this in a book but cannot remember where to give the reference if I find it I'll post it.

Ken,really nice work!!!.I wish i could talk you to sculpt a figure of a french infantry of the american revolution.:)
cheers.

Daniel,

Many thanks for your comments.
Even though I am in between sculpts and searching for ideas, after looking at your conversion work on "yorktown" I'm sure if you were to attempt a full sculpt you would be successful.
With not being famliar with that period of history it's the reference work which would take the time up.

Cheers Ken

Hi Costas,

thanks for your comments, I did paint one of the castings and as you can see from the pic  this is the reason I joined Pf.

The face was painted in enamels following bill horans method, (without his success ):D and the rest was painted in acrylics without the basic understanding , knowledge and skill that I hope to pick up from other members like yourself.

Cheers Ken.
