Hello Folks
Latest from Carl is this 1/9th scale bust depicting a french Imperial Guard Grenadier immediately after France scored their winning goal against Austria in the 1805 European Cup Final.

Very nice indeed Guys. Oodles of character.
I'm glad the Euro finals in Belgium in 1815 didn't end in penalties after extra time.

Hi mate that's a very nice addition to your range I remember a 0n 90mm barton figure from Years ago that had the same stance, Carl has done a great job on this. So when are the legs coming for it mate LOL. I know this will do very well for you.

I'm gonna be bankrupt soon, excellent bust and a superb pose.
If I remember rightly the Barton figure was on tip toe's.......I might be wrong.

Very nice, If I'm right its based on a statue at the Pompidou Centre in Paris.
I remember seeing it many, many years ago.

Bob, you're right it was a nice piece.

Based on a statue at the Musee de la Armee in Paris, such a shame it isn't a full figure. Barton did this figure years ago, (complete with legs!) if it was offered as a full figure, I'm sure it would have strong sales.

Yes, saw it at the Musee de L'Armee two years ago.......had the Richard Almond figure, too, only a pal liked it so much, I gave it to him.
This sculpt is a lovely rendition, but I do like my figures with legs:rolleyes: So it's good news that they are to be added eventually. Can I have one, Dad,....Dad,Dad, can I, PLEASE have one, Dad, can I ? Go on, Dad, can I,eh,Dad?

Oh NO!!! More temptation comes my way :)

Great sculpt - with legs would be marvellous.

Cheers

Carl is at the top of his game with this one!! Its scary to think how much money I would spend if Carl put legs on all his busts!! I too have the Barton figure in the GGA - always been one of my favorites!! GREAT work Gordon & Carl - keep them coming!! Dave

That's in hand Barry. Carl will be adding the legs to it.
Cheers
Gordon

I am sorry but that only makes sense to those of you that liked football back in the seventies.
I for one can't wait to see this veterans knobbly knees and shin pads.

Oh come on Grod, everyone knows the Imperial Guard can't play football!:woot:

Gary you are being silly they even had a special unit to fly up the wing, the Flanquer Chasseurs !
They didn't have a fluid flowing shape to their side in defence however.
They just formed square and that was it, too rigid for the modern game in my opinion.

I always wanted one of these in the smaller scale having seen the 90mm Barton, and the Musee statue surrounded by flags and trophies it is magnificent, so is this.
Thanks for sharing Grod :)
