Now this is a well seasoned campaigner , definately the old guard ! ......like the details on the lacework and the epaulette fringes , good relaxed pose ...and we have a medal .....

Hallo Aleksander,
I definitely agree, this is certainly an old guard. This grizzled veteran will have many a story to think on or tell as he smokes his beloved pie. So much for the idea of a boy drummers, definitely not in the imperial guard.
I do not collect/paint busts, however well impressed with the quality of this one.
