Here is my latest bust, based on the famous Rembrandt painting. I wanted to try something with more character and lots of textures to paint. I hope you like it. He is about 1/6th scale.

Not quite finished since I have some small details to add and the feather is only attached with Blu-tack

That is awesome. I would suggest you might want to reduce the depth of some of his facial crevasses before painting. Nice to see you back at busts. The wind has gone out of my sails of late.

Great subject choice John.
Bags of character, I agree with Colin that it would benefit from having some of the wrinkles being 'ironed' out.
That apart the face is very true to the painting, might be worth slightly increasing the size of the Gorget and running it to more of a point.
Excellent, please keep us posted (y)
Cheers

Great work John, just when I was thinking that I see some busts with only a fraction of the detail they should have, I turn on the computer and the first thing I see is this!!! Beautiful and full of character(y)(y)(y)
Best wishes, Gary.

Thanks for the comments Del and I have adjusted as you suggested.

Bob Thanks for commenting

Gary You're most kind thanks

enlane13 If you are going to copy from an image then why not use the best. Thanks

So the sculpt is now completed with his hat band, corget straps and the adjustments that Del pointed out.
