I'm trying different things with this phone camera. Here are some snaps of old projects.
First up: ICM 1/35 French infantry, WW1.

My preferred subject is this. Poilus are relatively thin on the ground, as are nice WW1 figs. It's great that this company embraced the period and have made so many nice sets.
Slava Ukraini.

Somewhere along the line I broke the private's bayonet in the second set.

Pegaso C14 duelling knights.
Painted to represent, in the blue corner, House Zouche of Lubbesthorpe, Leicester (of course) and Du Guesclin, in white.
Various things here that I'd do differently now (deeper shading for one).
A joyous project, though. That period of arms and armour is the best.

Cracking vignettes, you really have an affinity for painting pale blues. I think the lighter back cloth brings out the colours very well, not sure which is best though.

VERY nice. Good variety. What is that great looking barbed wire in the French WW1 pieces from? Very effective.

The barbed wire is Verlinden, bought in ~1990 so gawd knows if it's still available.

Pegaso Models' 75mm (white metal, heavy) Roman Vexillifer.
Portrayed here as a member of the IX Legion Hispana, which was posted just up the road from here.
Humbrol enamels, except the washes and metallics.

Another Pegaso Roman, this time in 54mm. A Signifer, painted in Humbrol enamels again, with Vallejo acrylics for the metalwork.

Beneito Miniatures' 54mm British Grenadier, American War of Independence. The figure has a minor fault (I recall needing plenty of Milliput for this project), that led to the left hand losing its little finger; a gnarled veteran, who looks like a former colleague.

Lovely figures, though the Romans must have felt the cold in those mini skirts! I especially like the Grenadier, recently acquired the Airfix collectors kit of the same.
