A very nice piece of work John. Every element, base, plate, colour scheme combine to produce an excellent result.
Maybe as you say a bit more contrast on the bandana but I'd leave the snake well alone I think it works really well in the scheme.
Cheers

I love that face, very well painted and the contrast of the eye is excellent. I dont mind the bandana as it looks as old and grimy as the rest of his clothing. I think the snake needs more to make it stand out as you have said, one thing, and it may be a bit too late, but if the snake was bigger, I think it would suit him and the feel of the bust. The snake is very well painted but I think it needs to be bigger. Excellent work and I would be proud of him as well.

Thanks guys :)

The snake came with him - it's part of the cast although having said that most people remove it. I know what you mean about it being too small for him.

Ah, Milosh, I'd be happy to paint another in a completely different scheme with loads of freehand - it's one of those busts that I think I could paint again and again. Maybe next time I'll choose to paint a pin up ;)

The way I look at it is the snake is his pet and as such adds to the comedy of the sculpt, bigger would change the concept for me.

Wonderful figure, so full of character and possibly "Mothers Ruin" Hate to wake up in the next hammock to his smiling face. Brilliant figure and the colours are superb,
Dont worry about the snake lads, dark night on a long passage in the tropics and he will be in the soup, definately.
