This is my repaint of an old Verlinden bust of (allegedly) Marshal Lannes. Original was bought secondhand and paint stripped. Decided to go with a Blue French uniform rather than the red Swiss. Face is nicely detailed but the uniform braiding and detail on the Marshal's strap was rather indistinct.

Done in acrylics with true metals. Phone pictures unfortunately, best I have.

Hi Rob

I like seeing these Verlinden busts , they have a real charm and paint up well despite the age

A good point ref the gold lacework , it was the same on others

You done a good repaint on this , fleshwork is very subtle , nice work on the medal and award

Thanks guys. I like the simplicity of these "classic" head & shoulder busts. I have done 2 now and still have a couple left to strip and re-do. Napoleonics is not something I want to start collecting but would probably pick up others in this series if cheap enough.
