Spot on mate. Much as I admire the modern trend of acrylics and the results I still think oils, when used properly, are more lifelike and yours is the perfect example. Superb.

Outstanding as awlays:eek: Like the natural skin tones( whats the mix?) and the realistic look of the armour, Where can I get this bust from.

Cheers

Indeed a perfect professional work.
A face seems to live.
The wonderful fresh tone.

Hi all,
was lucky enough to hold this in my sweaty paw on Monday.
It's genuinely a superb piece of painting and as has been noted the skin tones are utterly convincing.
It's on the small side for a 1:10, a single casting with a beautifully sculpted face that as you can see provides a great 'canvas' for bust painters.
Cheers
Derek

Great result dave, nice to see an ECW subject,i hav'nt seen many figures of oliver cromwell but this one is terrific, love the breastplate finish, nice skin tones as well.:)

Just goes to show how good oils are when used correctly, so much life in the skin and eyes, I bet it looks even better in the flesh.
