Kevin,

I am really! not quite sure, if I can now pass judgement on your, 'Leathers and Helmet'. .. As it would all be displayed carrying a double entendre.

Such as great helmet, and superb leathers, !! and visa versa

I will keep it safe! ..... Great work all round! .. lovely colouring and approach!

Phew!

Hi Guys ,

Thought I would post what's left .....pistols with his initials on them! next up later today ( after sleep !! ) then the bare head ...not sure about hanging the bino's they will hide the leatherwork a lot ..might sit them on the base ..what does everyone think?

The pistols were Ivory handled with the initials GSP on one side and an eagle on the other so as you look at him the left will show the initials the right the eagle!.....happy days ?.....see pics ( these are the original ones)

The 2nd set are replicas showing the detail better ...and yes I will add the swivel rings ...probably folded back?

Also a picture of the corner of my cutting mat with the nameplate I will be using ( from Nameit! )

Cheers for looking in

Awesome progress Kevin.
Helmet, leather, whip all looking a bit like a page from an Ann Summers Catalogue.
No seriously it is really showing your skill nail minute detail to the full.
Love it Mate, well done.

What I notice from the pics is that one of the guns is a Colt 45 Peacemaker and the other one isn't? I can't believe the sculptor just got it wrong, what's the storyBest wishes, Gary.

Hi Guys,

Gary

I noticed this , I know he had 2 types of pistols but not sure where it's come from for the sculpt but I am sure it's researched somewhere by the sculptor ...still a very enjoyable piece to paint ...now working on his head ..coming along ..should have this finished by Monday ..hopefully!

Bob,
I wish I had more!..thanks for visiting the thread

Hi Kevin, I looked him up on Google Images, and the other gun is a Smith & Wesson .357 magnum that he had in 1935. In 1940 the original walnut grips were replaced by ivory ones to match the colt. IMO that's one hell of a job of research the sculptor did(y). I do love quirky facts.
Best wishes, Gary.
