Can you tell us your mixture for the blue coat?

Thanks Roc!

Joe, I used 3 parts Dark Prussian Blue-2 parts Dark Blue/Grey (Vallejo's).

I went over figure number one giving it some more weathering on the greatcoat and trousers and the shelter half.

Here's figure #2 finished.

Excellent work Jason. How far behind is the 3rd character? This is the best piece of your's I've seen. Nice tight composition and terrific animation. All the facial expressions fit the poses. (y) (y)

Thanks John! Figure number three is primed and ready to go. I still have some work to do on number two. I need to paint his epaulette straps blue... NOT RED! Why is it I'm finding these little things on the screen and not the workbench!!!

Jason, very well done my friend. I like the open breech on the center figure's rifle, nice touch. Keep it up.~Gary

Excellent Jason!!

You are just getting better and better, great stuff as always! Love the colorful scene along with the added wethering, very convincing. Also very interesting to see how you do the grass one figure at a time. Keep it up!

EXCELLENT JOB,Jason,I really like it ALOT (y) (y) !! Your figure animation is top notch ! Keep up the good work and I hope to see the completed vignette soon.Cheers !
Kenneth.

Where did you get the open breech Chassepot?
Thanks Anders, Kenneth and Jaume!!!

Bob, the Chassepot is from the ICM kits. I just shaved the rear of the breech off the rifle and glued the bolt (which is seperate from rifle) up. The "receiver" is just plastic card cut to shape and glued to the rear of bolt, then Magic Sculp is used to form the rest. Much easier to do than I thought it would. Gosh, I hope that all made sense.

Great figure, Jason! I always appreciate seeing figures that aren't standing on two feet, which is what we typically see.

Here's the finished piece. It was, as always, a blast to build and paint! Thanks for all the input, it was very much appreciated ;) Thanks for looking.

Excellent Jason! Excellent!

I am very impressed with your work, it just keeps getting better and better. I don't like to compare people but you are on your way to become a new Bill Horan.

Whats the next project you got cooking now that you finished this one?

I completely agree with Anders' words... i'm very very impressed! It's one of the reasons i visit pF... your nice job!

This one will get gold medals everywhere! (y)

Oh, remember those articles you promissed me!

Jason, Excellent work as always. I hope to see it one day.

Who knows, maybe one day Bill Horan will become the next Jason Whitman.~Gary
