Gents,
It has been a while (ongoing health issues) since I visited the forum and just could not believe how many new beautifully painted figures appeared in here in the last 2 months or so.
Well, here are 2 of my current projects...
1:35 scale SF/CIA operative in Afghanistan (finished) and a conversion of Pegaso templar into a praying/contemplating knight.Second one requiring a lot more work than I anticipated. Cloak will eventually have a pattern painted on and he will be standing next to a banner.
Cheers,
A.

Arthur,

I like the SF/CIA dio. Your guy has a bit of a Vin Disel look going for him. Good job. Also, what does the tatto on the left arm mean or translate to?

Hello Arthur,

I hope health is going better now.

I like your modern soldier a lot, athough I feel he's more part of a movie then of a war, which isn't a bad thing. The painting is great, but the enviroment and all the little detail makes it even better.

For the knight I have some doubts: The colours used look to modern and don't seem to fi the subject. You painted them on well with both good highlighting and shading, but it seems to me that beack then they weren't able to make colours with such an intencity. If you know what I mean. Also be carefull when using purple. I have read that purples was only allowed to popes, kings and their decents. It was also a very expensive colour, so unlikely to be worn for anything else then a ceremony. I made this "mistake" also once, this is why I pay much attention to it.

I hope you have something on my humble opinion.

Best wishes,

Gino

Arthur,
Good painted figures. Not my cup off tea, but i like the Modern soldier.
As for the knight. He is good painted, but about the purple i have my doubt's.

Gino,
Glad that you like him. You are indeed correct about the purples, ...I totally forgot about that. I will probably change it to blue/black.
Although he can easily be "the man of God" since he is holding the Bible in his hand
Cheers,
A.

Really nice work on both ideas. The first is a different and nice setup and i like it. for the second i expect to see the whole scene completed but so far it looks nice !!!

Beautiful work Arthur. But I believe that the soldier needs some more dirt, especially on the groundwork. It looks quite clean to me, but that's only my preference.
