Online shops for miniatures with colours

Hello everyone.

Can anybody suggest me good online shops where I can purchase a miniature with the appropriate colours for it? I am very new to the hobby and have seen many figures that I like. But I do not know which colours I will need. I do not have yet any stock of colours so with the figure i will have to buy them as well and I also do not have the experience to know which ones will I need just by looking at the painted pictures. If I go to a shop the seller will help but what happens online?
I will use acrylics and I do not mind the scale of the figure as long as I like it.
I hope it is not a stupid question!!!

Chris, my advice would be to choose a figure that you would like to paint first and then ask here what paints you would need.... and it's definitely not a stupid question.

Chris, its not a silly question, .. but I do agree with Roger! find a figure that you really like, then research the colours, and brands that suit your budget. and also decent brushes etc. ..as most kits with supplied paint/brushes etc. are very cheap and nasty! .. Granted you want to make a start,.. but some initial patience, will pay dividends later!

First of all thank you all very much for the answers. I quess you mean to decide which one I want and then post a picture in order to get the list of the colours I will need.
By the way housecarl the powerpalette is a great tool.
