For those guys of you still interested in an unpainted version: I just came across SEIZA, a Samurai women in mourning with an almost identical pose as the one painted by Attica ! Ruslan, the sculptor, made only small changes to the better. For example the sword is not sticking in the ground. Here is the legion miniatures link to this 75mm figure:
https://legion-miniatures.com/online-shop/product/seiza
Be advised: a person in mourning in the pre Meji period was always dressed in white. So painting this figure should be easy and one should concentrate on the small details and a appropriate background/scenery which can lift the impression of this figure dramatically !

We are so glad that our work has inspired them to create their own miniature. However, the Samurai women are a great untold story, and we do hope others will publish another chapters in future, not only this one. ;)

We all look forward to more chapters in the story

Always good to see releases from Attics

NOTE
This Seiza is a 90mm figure, not 75mm.

I have tried to order from Legion but find the website too confusing, some parts are translated then you move on a stage and it's all in Russian.

If someone from Legion will PM me with a simple way to order, I will buy one.

Bill

When you look at this Legion Catalogue link (https://www.legionminiatures.org/asia) and check the ordering number you can see it's listed as a 75mm piece. I think the shop info with 90mm is wrong as it contradicts the ordering number. For ordering I can recommend: https://www.ilminiatures.com/
He is based in Germany and very reliable with excellent customer service. I just placed a SEIZA order with him as he is in the process of preparing a new order with Legion.

Thank you Karl.
As there is confusing info around this piece and I only work in 90mm I will let this one pass.

Good point, Karl.....I daresay some will find it pedantic but if we create scenarios
they have to make sense. The figure is exquisitely painted we just have to imagine
a more suitable back story.

Roman and all listings say 90mm (the Legion order code [LMA-027], unlike others, doesn't indicate the scale) but I suppose an pm or email to Roman would resolve it?
