Greetings lovers of history, figurines and busts.
I am happy to present you the first piece from the new project - Operation Anthropoid. Operation Anthropoid took place in 1942 on the territory of the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia. The result of the operation was the assassination of R. Heydrich.
One of the assassins was Jan Kubiš. A bust was created based on period photographs. It is the best portrait of Jan Kubiš that has been created. The bust was made by Life Miniatures and the quality is incredible. The buttons on the uniform, the stars of rank, the badge on the cap, the embroidery on the sleeves... everything is created to the last detail and absolutely correct.
It was a great pleasure to paint this piece. I believe that every lover of history and beautiful busts will want to have this piece at home. Other participants in Operation Anthropoid will follow.
The bust can already be ordered on the website: https://www.navysadku.cz/
Thank you for your time and for reading the post.

Now. that's a nice change as far as WW2 busts are concerned. Finally someone who personally opposed the Nazi regime, and paid the price, is commemorated.
More of those, please.

Both the miniature and the painting are top notch! Thanks for showing.

Very nice smooth brush work.
You may want to check the top edge of the leather belt at the front, its looks like you caught the jacket with some brown paint.

A tragic operation that served the purpose of the Allies quite well because it stirred things up in Czechoslovakia and brought up the brutal German retaliation the Allies had hoped for. The fate of the commando unit was sealed from the start - there was no planning for an extraction - and they knew it - brave soldiers.

Thank you very much. I am glad you like my work, I appreciate it.

Malc, thank you, I will correct the mistake.
