Hey Guys so don't know if this is the correct board for this or not. My company Collapse Industries has been producing 3 figures for about a year in 1/9 scale. We often get inquires to why they are not 1/6. In my mind I picked the scale because it makes the kits more affordable to produce and hence to bring to market. We are taking one of the figures and downscaling it to 90mm to fit more in its niche market with some of the future releases also. I am looking at these two figures and its almost time for new molds and I am debating growing new masters in 1/6 so my question is to my fellow modelers 1/9 with smaller price tags or 1/6 with larger price tags, but more resolution as we can use other printing options of the masters. I am attaching images of the two that I am debating going larger on. They are the Surveyor from Josh P Crockeet and The Norseman form Mikkel Frandsen

For the larger scaled figures I would love busts made of them. I love looking through pictures of "garage kits" but they are always way too big for me to paint, mostly because of time and storage space. They are also too expensive for me to buy and saw the upper torso off of.
I would love to have that alien in a 1/9 bust.

just a thought and suggestion. Thanks!

Hello,
Thanks for your comment! We actually have some alien bust that are 3in which is right about 1/9 scale in our Interloper bust. We also make a lot of 1/4 or 5-6in bust which are for the moment cheeper than a lot of the comparable 1/9 bust. Currently we are trying to get away from the garage kit stigma as our products are all produced in house in our 3200 sq foot printing and casting facility.
