Can anyone tell me where these plates come from-were they published?

I think you have nailed it Roger-I've got quite a lot of the Brigade Uniform Plates but these are probably nicer from the painting perspective.

I agree Rob........My problem is running out of book cases.......and space to put them:rolleyes::D..........being of the "old" school I find it really difficult to read from a computer screen, I'm much more at home with the book in my hand although I do download to my Kindle. Having said that if I can buy a hardback or paperback for less than the price of the Kindle download then I will. I'm too utilitarian to ever accept ether as a tangible asset-plus the books go to the charity shop to be recycled.
 
Oh I agree you can never have enough books I have one of the older kindles so if it's a book with good Illustrations you lose those on it.
