Dealing with mad 'Uncles' !:(:D

I don't suppose anyone has, one of these, 'Originals' gathering dust! in their GA do they?? I am aware of the 'Bonapartes', figure, and as nice as this rendition is ! It does have to be the original!

hi mark, yes ive got an original, I was going to stick it on ebay , anyway my email is tony-tracywilbraham'hotmail.co.uk send me a message and I will send you pics of it and just make me an offer on it, all the best mate tony,

I thought I had one which appears to be original but in a white card box marked as Poste Militaire but not in the usual Poste Militaire "brown box". Think I got it from a dealer at Euromilitaire some years ago but not Bonapartes. How does their version differ? Item packed in bubblewrap and untouched. Contact me at David2marple@ntlworld if interested.

hi mark, mine might not be what your after, although its an original I painted for my brother who got into napoleonics, after several years it got damaged and pieces fell off ect, so I ended up getting it back last summer, its been sripped and buffed up, I think has a few things missing of which I should be able to replace or make, but it is not in its original box, so I may not be able to help you after all, if you still want it email me and I will send you pics and you can make an offer on it, all the best tony

Hi Mark,
You have me intrigued - To my mind it is an original but the packaging does give me some doubt - but as I asked before what is it that is different in the Bonaparte's version? If I new what is was that is the problem I might be able to resolve the doubt.
If still interested E-mail me with what you would be happy paying - I could bring it to Euromilitaire if you are attending, but don't want to be carrying the extra weight around if you're not interested. If you are no longer interested - no problems.

David

Towards the end of their production & before the sale to Bonapartes PM did use plain white boxes stamped Poste Militaire and even supplied photocopied instructions etc. I've never seen one of their kits wrapped in bubble wrap though. Confusing ain't it.

Geoff

Yeah Geoff,
Thanks for the explanation - I think this is what I've got. I meant that the bubble wrap seperates the parts inside the box (it's neater than that sounds!), but not the foam inserts that Poste Militaire used to use.

David & Geoff! Many thanks!

David as to your question about the difference! I have no answer to that! .. I suppose he is being somewhat over particular and slightly distrustful of take over companies. I will inform him of this explanation, and see what transpires.

However, just in case there is another interested party in the form of 'Kagemusha'. who has said if my relative wasn't interested, then he may well be! I will let you know ASAP!

Many thanks,

Mark

David, for reasons that are beyond my comprehension, its a no?? ( Its the last time I am doing him this favour).

However, If you still wish to part with it, then I will drop Ron C. A heads up! .... Its your call!;)

Thanks for all your help.

Mark

I have the mounted Chassuer du Cheval and can confirm it's Poste Millitaire in a white box
Steve

O.K. Mark , but now it's out of the cupboard, I'm starting to remember old plans for a project I was going to do with it - may just hold onto it for now - funny old game isn't it?
If anyone else is desperate to have it , you can still E-mail me at the address I gave above with a price you feel would be fair - I doubt my plans for it will be started for some time yet.
