Otto Knüppel from U 54, 1917

"Long time ago" I published that sailor in my shop and Götz Siepmann had painted the boxart. I always want to paint him myself but had some problems with the fish.

Photo Nr. 1 is the original photo from 1917. Otto Knüppel is standing on the deck of U 54 after they had "got" some proviant from a norwegian fish trawler.

The last three photos are showing my version. Not so good as the version from Götz, but I am satisfied

Whoa!!! I thought I had just stumbled across the biggest coincidence in modelling history, I've just read this literally minutes ago but it is U57 not U54.

Otto Knüppel was first radio operator on the SMS von der Tann and then after 1916 on U54
