Completed Out of my comfort zone. Norman knight 1070

[Viking Bob]

I had enjoyed painting this one from Tin Berlin, my first foray into the world of chainmail and leather, something different. As you may well know my period of interest is 1800-80.
Thanks go to John Bowery and Steve (Helm) as they and others gave me some info on the period of the Norman invasion of Sciliy in or around 1070.
I will/may dip my toes into this period of History again, never say never.
The shield was painted with the help of Frog tape an excellent masking tape which does not bleed.
the whole was painted in acrylics except the face which was in oils.
