This morning I decided to paint a face the easy way, that is with a minimum of colours. This method was given to me by a fellow modeler and I just had to try it. I bought the colours needed fot this and after an hour and a half it looked like this. It's a 1/35 head from Hornet.
I'm looking for an easy and fast way to get a decent face and thought this little experiment proved it's possible.
I used the following colours from Vallejo:
1: Primed (airbrush) with Black.
2: Basecolour Brown Sand.
3: Highlight Basic Skintone.
4: Shadows Flat Brown.
I used these colours both pure and mixed ( a 50/50 mix between basec. and highl. and basec. and shadows). For the darkest shadows a bit of Black was added to the shadow-mix. A small amount of Vermillion (mixed with the basec. and highlight mix) for the red on the cheeks and black pigments for the unshaved look.
Thanks for looking. Any suggestions or comments are appreciated.
