Martin - I think when they issue the next online dictionary, next to the word "meticulous", there should be a picture of you and an added new meaning for the word. "Any figure assembled, 'customized' and painted by Martin Rohmann."

This SBS has been good for hours of enjoyment and learning for yours truly. Wow! And Thanks again!

All the best,
Dan

Many thanks to You, Dan and Eddy!

@ Dan: But without Andy there would not be the bust! He has made the main work.

85. Day, 5. April 2012

Today the assembly of the last small part is in the row – still missing lower part of the gun-protection cord …:

Foto85_4.jpg

This cord must be made from wire itself!

Before, however, I have considered how the whole should look then at the end.

The first possibility:

The cord is stuck together in the fastening on the breast – then one lets them "dangle" vertically down and cuts off that somewhere.

So it has happened with the Promo version of the bust by Sang Eon Lee …:

Foto85_1.jpg

… and like this I had also made it the last year with my Orenburg Cossack …:

Foto85_2.jpg

However, especially well has liked to me the version which Andy had modeled at that time. there the cord falls at first vertically, then runs out, however, in an elegant curve and is fixed on the „invisible side“ of the bust …:

Foto85_3.jpg

So alike I also wanted to make this from the beginning, for that I had drilled two small holes
already with the preparing of the bust at the beginning of December at the underside...:

Foto85_15.jpg

I show the cord again with solder wire.

Two pieces are cut …

Foto85_5.jpg

… and afterwards at the head with liquid second glue together fixed …:

Foto85_6.jpg

After entire hardening of the second glue the wire with 2 component glue is fastened to the fastening on the breast...:

Foto85_10.jpg

This assembly has very high „Destroy all“-potential, but it has happened, fortunately, nothing.

Now both thin wires are right in such a way that they point perpendicularly down …:

Foto85_7.jpg

And while the glue may harden now, I dedicate myself first to the joys of a dentist's visit.

After it goes on!

Thanks Carl - it bad as ever, but not too bad...

Still 85. Day, 5. April 2012

In the meantime, the glue point is loadable.

Now with tongs and tweezers the wire is so bent that he freely hangs and goes around with an elegant swing the underside of the bust.

The loose ends are fixed in two small holes first with "UHU-Glue", (so that I get them for remachinings very simply again from) and after the final alignment with liquid second glue fixed. …:

Foto85_9.jpg

Now the ready part just looks as I had fancied it from the beginning…:

Then next week the cord will be painted, then I will put on to the small Cossack still his Kubanka and then he will be ready.

Till then I wish You nice Easter holidays!

86. Day, 10. April 2012

Exactly like on top in the neck …
http://www.planetfigure.com/threads/painting-andys-cossack-bust-ac-models-1-12.44325/page-6

...today I have painted the gun-protection cord.

Again with these colours …

Foto86_1.jpg

… I paint with different mixtures many small lines side by side to show "cord".

This requires quite a lot of care, so that beside the "cord" nothing is damaged.

The front part of the silver fastening to down to the curve has just finished.
Oha! Macro is cruel …:

Foto86_2-1.jpg

But in only fourfold enlargement it looks quite well…:

87. Day, 11. April 2012

The cord is painted ready …:

Foto87_1.jpg

Foto87_2.jpg

The two in the bottom photo visible too light areas I have just corrected fast.

Now this were, if I must correct nothing more afterwards, the last brushstrokes on this bust.

Tomorrow still the cap on it …

88. Day, 12. April 2012

Today I have got the "Kubanka" fur cap behind from the cupboard …

Foto88_1.jpg

… and from the working cork separated.

Besides, a mishap has happened to me, because the toothpick has broken off while pulling out what has never happened before still …:

Foto88_2.jpg

So I had to slur the cap underside still cleanly.

Foto88_3.jpg

Then it would be fastened – again with 2 component glue – on the head.

And if I have a look on it, I see that it was the absolutely right decision to show the sheepskin "black".

Only one annoys me: In the pictures it sees again in such a way from as if the red cap lid has no highlights.

But I assure: They are there – I can only not properly photograph them!

The pictures …:

Foto88_6.jpg

Foto88_5.jpg

Foto88_4.jpg

And the bust is ready with it!

Now I still must try to do a few pictures of the entirety …
