Wow, Eduardo, you have some beautifully painted flags! Outstanding work!

I like using sheet metal, too, for mine, relatively thicker foil, as you say, you can shape it easily.

Prost!

The gaellic text of the flag in teh box art was not very clear: "riam nar dhruid ó sbarin lann"
Hi again Eduardo. Thanks for taking the time to reply.
The regiment still exists today as part of the New York national guard (I´ve read). They translate it as "We will never fly from the clashing of blades".
Although English is my mother tongue, we learn gaelic from 4 to 17 years old in school. Once upon a time I could get by quite well in Gaelic, but its been 25 years since I left school and havent used the language since then. Theres a lot of debate on the literal translation of this text ... as for one, its in past tense and has very odd grammer. What Ive read that most consider it to be "Never did shrink from combat". Many of the Irish coming to America at this time spoke gaelic but were illiterate.

Thank you again to all for take a look. Let´s see more flags and standards. I painted some of them long time ago, so sorry for the low quality of some pics.
