Hi Nap. Base is a dark Vallejo flesh (dark elf wargame colour) but anything like dark ochre or raw umber would do. As I recall, wash with sepia ink to lift the detail. Highlight with mix if base and bright yellow (eg cadmium). Highlight with lighter fleshes and then Naples yellow. High highlight sparingly with unbleached titanium. Wash with diluted liquitex acrylic ink (50% water)....that is a controlled wash with a 00 brush.

BTW - great avatar. Who is it?

Cheers

Colin

Totally gobsmacked Mate.
This close up is a real testimony to your sculpting and painting talents Colin.
Only down side comment; You are a bit of a bugger only teasing us with a section so small.
Waiting. with even more anticipation than before, for your next steps.
Awesome work.
More power to your elbow Colin.

And here is the wonderful process of painting on this wonderful and cracking sculptwork. Beautiful work, I was blown away and I will study very long time this one. Amazing, precise, clean ... Beautifully selected tonality, to a certain extent predetermined pattern. Really beautiful and a masterpiece, starting with sculpting and painting finishing. Congrats for a great, great job, Colin(y)(y)(y):notworthy: .

Cheers Borek
