Can anyone share how they go about painting "plastic" toy soldiers? I've read things about using white glue thinned down as a base, varnish first, or Krylon plastic spray paint. I'd like to paint some 40 yr old Airfix 1/72nd figures as well as a few 1/32nd box soldiers.

Thanks.

I've only painted a plastic soldier once when I was a kid, but I would say use a primer made for plastic and you should be good to go.

To me the bigger issue when dealing with soft plastic figures is finding a satisfactory method of removing mold seams.

I'd love to see many of these cast in a harder plastic, or at least Dragon/DML's new hybrid plastic that is flexible yet capable of being glued with liquid plastic cement.
