"Zombie" thread resurrected after 7 months I know.

But even though I only planned on filing the box-art pics for reference (it's a recent purchase), I thought I'd give it a plug while I'm here. Because if this thread's anything to go by, this one doesn't seem to have generated much of stir. Which is a shame because it really is a lovely sculpt, and the casting is top-notch.

A very nice figure from a poorly represented conflict, and highly recommended.

Can anyone tell me what the casting quality of this is like-I previously bought the Semper Fidelis Pavia Hussar and the casting was absolute crap. I see they now have it in their range and don't want to be caught twice.

Keith what a pity .. if I'd known this (or at least the casting of it) was of interest to you I could have brought it to WR yesterday to show you.

The casting (on my example anyway) is excellent. Very minimal clean-up will be required the parts go together well in a dry-fit.

It's the only AFS release I have in my stash, so I can't comment on how their casting is generally. On the strength of this however I would have no qualms about buying AFS figures again.

Thanks Steve for responding. Semper Fidelis had a lot of casting problems, not even sure if he is still in business, things seem to have gone very quiet following the release of the Roman Set.

It is a pity because the owner is a really nice guy but seemed to struggle to get anything cast which resulted in a lot of delays in delivery.

Glad to hear that the Art Soldiers Kits are good quality.

Keith.

PS Just sent you a mail on a different subject.

I can't be 100% sure Keith, but it would indeed appear that he's thrown in the towel.

ArtSoldiers seem to have acquired the original SF range and reissued them under their own label, and the Roman set has now been reissued by another Spanish outfit (Big Child Creatives), this time as the full set, half sets or you can buy the figures individually.

Just read your mail. Will reply later.
