Partisan, Crete, 1941

Hi Guys,

Some pics of my take on "The Old Sailor" bust, currently available from MDP. I was fortunate enough to see the original sculpt some time back and I instantly knew what I wanted to do with it!

Simple modifications to the original include addition of a moustache, bushier eyebrows, bandolier, from plastic tube, belt from Duro, Sten gun butt and sling and extending the torso, slightly.

Still detailing to be added to Sten and not sure if Ill go with the pipe, or add a cigarette.....

Hope you like my take on a familiar model?! Approx scale, about 1/12

Great conversion Steve.
As soon as I saw the title I had a pretty good idea what I was going to see. I didn't expect that to be the base figure though, good spot it's perfect.

Oooh that's strange I was looking at my copy from MDP yesterday ........it's a great sculpt full of character and now we have a real nice conversion to this ....nice one ....like the sten slung at the back and that tasche as well .

Looking forward to seeing this painted up
