Patafix

I have just received my edition of Danilo Carticci Book and I am thrilled with it.
I have not yet read all of it and am having fun digesting it. GREAT pictures and figures.
In masking Danilo mentions "Patafix"? Can any one give me an American substitute for this? Kind of looks like "bluetack" but Danilo states to remove the mask with Pliers?

Patafix is the French equivalent of Bluetack. I also use Bluetack on my figures for masking during airbrushing.
