Hi Guys ,
This has been on the bench for a while ...work keeps getting in the way !!! , still to do the medals and sashes and of course the helmet ...thanks to all those that replied to my questions on the uniform colour and for references ..

I added the 2nd Armored patch (much to do !!!!!!)

Painted in oils with acrylics being planned for the medals etc ...will post more

Hi Nap,

Gee, that's an impressive bust, and quite a challenge to get all those ribbons and sashes painted. You've made an excellent start.

Can you tell me who the manufacturer is. I'm tempted to get one myself.

Nap, I have this bust as well and I'm looking forward to your progress. It's a little daunting looking at that pile of hardware on his chest, isn't it?

I don't want to steal any thunder here, but Tony, this is an older Legends & Lore (Warriors) piece. Sculpted by Jim Maddox if I'm not mistaken. You should be able to find one lurking on eBay possibly. May be a little tough to find, but they do surface now and again. A good piece to add to your vendors "want list" for the next show you go to. Good luck!

Patton - Update

Hi Guys ,
Thanks for the kind comments , since these pics were taken I have added the "US" collar badge , its still very much on the bench , just been doing a bit of sculpting for variety (ATS ..have a look)

Heres the 2nd Armored shoulder badge that will be painted on , will post more as it progresses ...only 12 medals , 2 sashes to go !!!!

Patton - Update

Hi Guys ,
Heres a couple of pics on Patton , desparately trying to finish for FigureWorld nxt Saturday !!! , medal ribbons all done , using NMM on the stars , the sashes are all done , he wears the Luxembourg Order of Adolphe of Nassau with the sah of the Order of rhe British Empire underneath . The stars are the Order of the Golden Lion on the Right breast with the star of the OBE on the left ..both still to be finished , sashes painted using oils , rest in a mix of both oils and acrylics.

Medals !!

Hi Guys ,
Just spent nearly 2 and a half hours on the medals probably the same to go again before I am happy , I have redone the ribbon on the bottom row on the right to be the Victory medal ..reckon it looks better .

Plan next to start detailing the actual medal , highlighting and shading and putting some Liquin to give them the required shine ...

.....and then its the lanyard , the chest stars , the formation badge , the rank stars on shoulders and helmet , the base (nameplate already ordered!!!)...and then I can :

Carry on breathing !!!
